Looking for talented content writers able to get across training material with a conversational tone. Existing manuals will be your guide along with key words we use to honor the tone of the uplifting and inspiring work we do.
NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots organization helping anyone affected by mental illness. We offer hope and free programs to families who are in crisis and don't know where to turn. We help save lives.
We are experiencing a growth spurt and need writers to help create training manuals for the various functions of the organization from Communications Chairperson to Events Coordinator to Fundraising Manager. You will help new and existing volunteers know the what, when, where, how, and why of their role within the organization. You will help create a library of action that will spur on the work we do to help others for years to come.
If you are a student or someone seeking career enrichment through volunteering, we are a perfect place for you. Click the "I want to help" button and start a rewarding journey as a Content Writer!

Description
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
Started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979, NAMI has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, NAMI is an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI relies on gifts and contributions to support its important work.
