ORGANIZATION: The HALO Foundation

HALO Kansas City Learning Center is looking for volunteers to help lead a HALO Art program for students at a local KC Elementary school!

HALO’s Kansas City Learning Center provides future-focused programming, equipping homeless and at-risk children with the skills they need to become a contributing member of the community. Starting on January 29, 2018, HALO will be facilitating HALO Art & Life Skill programming on a weekly basis in the kindergarten and 3 rd grade classrooms of a local elementary school.
Project Examples: Role model collages, character trait mobiles, and a collaborative art project between the two classrooms to help students make their mark within the HALO & their school community.

HALO is in need of 5 volunteers to be a positive role model for students and assist in the art program within the elementary school. Have fun while making a positive impact on the lives of nearly 30 fun-loving students who are ready to create and leave their mark! Do not have to be an artist for this opportunity!

Dates and times:
Monday's 1/29/18-5/1/18 from 12:00pm-2:00pm

It has Learning Centers and Housing programs in Kansas City, and Jefferson City, Missouri, and art programming in New York and Portland.
