Family Eldercare's Lifetime Connections Without Walls program offers group activities via the telephone to homebound seniors in the community. More information can be found at www.familyeldercare.org/programs/lifetime-connections-without-walls.
We are looking for a volunteer to host a monthly hour-long "Pet Stories" session, where they share heartwarming stories about pets gathered from current events and also allow participants to share memories of their past or current pets.
This volunteer opportunity is completely virtual and can be done at work or home. The commitment would be 1.5 hours a month. A great opportunity for a college student, stay at home parent, or retired individual.
Training and on-going support provided by Family Eldercare.

Description
Family Eldercare is a nonprofit agency that has been providing services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers in the Austin, Texas area since 1982. Programs and services include: housing and stability, in-home counseling, guardianship, virtual activities for isolated older adults, service coordination, and our annual summer fan drive.
