This volunteer opportunity is for teens between 16-18 in the Lakewood and surrounding areas.
Students who participate in the Medical Explorers program commit 2-4 hours a week and assist the Emergency Room in running samples to be tested, and other crucial pieces of the daily functions of the ER. Training is provided through Pathways and Lakewood Regional Medical Center to prepare these teen volunteers to work with nurses and other hospital personnel.
Pathways volunteers start with an interview, and then go through a few training sessions before being sent out into the field. You may either contact us through volunteer match, or send an email to alyssa@pathwayshospice.org. Thank you for your interest!
