ORGANIZATION: START SMALL THINK BIG INC

Do you want to use your expertise to help underserved entrepreneurs build and sustain their thriving businesses?

We are looking for volunteer CPAs to assist our small business clients with tax preparation. Start Small works with clients to assist them in setting up a bookkeeping system, putting together projections for their business and making strategic financial decisions. We answer tax questions, but don't have the resources to provide tax preparation assistance, which is needed by many our of entrepreneurs.

Description

We focus on partnering with BIPOC entrepreneurs, women, LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, immigrants, veterans, entrepreneurs with disabilities, low-income entrepreneurs, and formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs. We help identify entrepreneurs’ areas of need and provide them with free technical assistance across the finance, marketing and legal areas. We do this by connecting them with our community of corporate partners and skills-based volunteers - so small businesses have the network and resources they need to grow on their own terms.
