Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Family Eldercare

Family Eldercare's Lifetime Connection Without Walls (LCWW) program is a telephone-based program that provides activities over the telephone for homebound seniors. The goal of our program is to reduce social isolation by connecting homebound individuals to stimulating activities and others. More information can be found on our website www.familyeldercare.org/programs/lifetime-connections-without-walls.

We are looking for volunteers to serve as a virtual "Welcome Wagon" for new participants. Tasks would include calling new participants and answering any questions they may have about the program, ensuring they understand how the calls work, and general encouragement to engage in the telephone sessions.

This volunteer opportunity is completely virtual and can be done at work or home. The commitment would vary between 1 to 3 hours a week depending on the number of new participants per week. A great opportunity for a college student, stay-at-home parent, or retired individual.

Training and on-going support provided by Family Eldercare.
