HANDYMAN - Age 55 and over

A local non-profit is looking for someone who can assist their handyman with a few projects such as taking down some cubicles and rearranging them to create more space, and reorganizing some of their storage facilities by re-arranging boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. This volunteer position will start around the beginning of next year and last for a few weeks?

Are you 55 years of age or older? Would you like to help and improve your community? Then you are a perfect candidate for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)!

RSVP is the nation's largest network for volunteers age 55 and over. The growing segment of those age 55 and over is vital to strengthening our communities through their interest in helping others. Our focus is to incorporate meaningful volunteer opportunities that provide purpose and a way to give back to the community. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matches their personal interests with opportunities to serve in their communities. Last year Pierce County volunteers served 89,000 hours...what a positive effect this has made in the community!

You will also meet people with similar interests, and have fun and feel good about your contribution. Your family will be proud of you and others will respect and admire you as a role model. Our focus is to incorporate meaningful volunteer opportunities that provide purpose and a way to give back to the community.
