Our disaster action team volunteers provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing.
These disaster action team volunteers meet with individuals and families who have experienced a house fire and provide resources to help the families start to recover. And with hurricane season just beginning, there may be opportunities to take training and participate in national relief efforts.
This volunteer opportunity requires training and is mainly shift-based but there are day-time and night-time shifts as well as weekday and weekend availability.
** Volunteers applying for in-person position assignments must be fully vaccinated. Instructions to provide information and supporting documentation of vaccination will be provided once you submit your application. **
