ORGANIZATION: Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project

Esperanza is seeking bilingual volunteers to do administrative tasks at our satellite office in Ontario. These tasks may include data entry, phone calls, filing, and other general administrative work. You will be assisting one of our dedicated staff attorneys and helping a program servicing our detained immigrant population. The volunteer is needed on Tuesdays from 10 to 4 and possibly on Thursdays to do remote work from home.

Esperanza is a non-profit legal organization dedicated to serving the vulnerable immigrant population of Los Angeles. Esperanza provides Direct Representation, and Community Education to immigrants in need. Esperanza zealously advocates on behalf of clients while also empowering them.

Esperanza's success largely depends on the hard work of our skilled volunteers who are passionate about helping disadvantaged immigrants. Description

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., serves espercially vulnerale immigrants fighting against removal from the United States. Esperanza mostly provides legal services to children who are fighting against removal, however Esperanza also has clients in federal immigration detention centers. Esperanza provides direct representation, pro bono placement and pro se legal education.
