CHI Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care
If you want to serve your community and you have a compassionate heart especially for those experiencing their last days, then CHI Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care has a meaningful volunteer experience for you.
Our volunteers take time to honor and celebrate people's lives all the way until the end. You can help by listening to a person's life stories or their favorite music. You can sit with them while their family gets a break. You can run errands, make courtesy phone calls, welcome patients and their families at Hospice House, and so much more.
CURRENTLY SEEKING: volunteer to make check in phone calls to patients still waiting to be matched with a volunteer, or volunteers to sit in vigil at bedside near someone dying who cannot interact in conversation. (Phone calls can be made out of the Burien, WA volunteer coordinator's office, any weekday.)

To affirm life. To ask people how they want to live their final days. To provide quality Hospice services in a timely manner to all who qualify regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic background or ability to pay. To enhance the care of all dying in the community by education and example.
Franciscan Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, and promotion of a caring community sensitive to their needs, patients and their families may be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.
We'll work with your schedule.
