Description: Meet new people and help fight loneliness! Volunteers are matched for one-to-one visits with seniors in the community. This is an opportunity to help seniors stay in the homes and communities of their choice - and to make a connection with a new friend! East Side Elders also supports caregivers in their journey to provide care for their loves ones. Social volunteers can help caregivers receive a much-needed break.

Schedule: This is a very flexible opportunity - volunteers usually visit with a client once per week for an hour or more.

About Us: East Side Elders helps our seniors live full and rewarding lives - in the home and community they want - for as long as possible and as healthy and well as possible. Our teams of volunteers, students and community members provide a wide range of services and activities that give the necessary support and resources to our elderly neighbors wherever they call home.

Qualifications:

• Must have your own transportation or ability to travel to clients’ homes
• Must pass a background check
• Able to communicate in a friendly, respectful manner with a diverse population
