If you want to serve your community and you have a compassionate heart especially for those experiencing their final months of life, then Virginia Mason Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care has a meaningful volunteer experience for you.
Our in home patient companion volunteers take time to honor and celebrate people's lives all the way until the end. You can help by listening to a person's life story or their favorite music or book. You can sit with them while their family gets a break. You can run errands, make courtesy phone calls, watch TV with them, and so much more.
LOCATION: South King County: Federal Way, Kent, Auburn, Renton, Des Moines, Burien, and Enumclaw.
Volunteering usually takes place within a patient's own home. All across King County. We also visit residents of nursing homes.
