Health Imperatives is seeking 1-2 student interns or volunteers to assist the Human Resources department of the agency. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about the operation of a non-profit/human services agency, and to gain hands on experience with a Human Resources department. A few of the areas the Human Resources department is responsible for are:
- developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures that align with agency goals
- recruiting, training, and retaining staff
- planning and implementing agency trainings
- overseeing employee benefits
Volunteers will support the HR director with various day to day tasks that relate to these areas. Volunteers should:
- be at least 18 years old
- have access to a car or public transportation to get to and from our agency
- be available, at minimum, 3-6 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between 9am and 5pm
We ask that volunteers are able to make a commitment of at least 3 months to our agency. To apply for this volunteer position or if you have any questions, please contact Elissa May, Volunteer Coordinator, at emay@healthimperatives.org or call 508-583-3005 ext. 1005.
