World Medical Relief has international aid programs but also offers services to low-income people in Metro Detroit. World Medical Relief provides affordable prescriptions, durable medical equipment, and medical supplies to low income residents but especially under the current circumstances it is difficult to reach the people that need our services. The outreach volunteer will come up with strategies to overcome this challenge and contact other agencies who also serve low-income people to see whether we can collaborate on the dissemination of the program information to their clients.
It is in particular very important that people who lost their health insurance or job loss due to the Covid pandemic are made aware of World Medical Relief's services.
This volunteer position could also be used for an internship.
