At the International Humanity Foundation (IHF) we believe the best way to empower impoverished children in the developing world is with education. Our IHF Center in Bali offers an opportunity for children ranging in ages from 5-18, to gain practical English language skills during our daily class offerings.

Volunteers who sign up to be a part of our Teach English in Bali project have a very real influence and impact on the lives of Balinese children. By helping them to improve their English skills, we are making it easier to for them to further their education in the future.

We equip our volunteers to bring their passion individual talents and commitment to positive change. Volunteers need no prior teaching experience, but do need to have a love of children, patience and kindness. We provide all the necessary training, background, and supplies necessary for you to teach the children.

IHF is looking for volunteers who can commit to a minimum of two weeks in our Voluntourist Program . Volunteers accepted to this program serve 4 hours per day, preparing and teaching English classes to the children. The rest of your time is free for you to explore the beautiful island of Bali at your leisure.

Volunteers accepted to this program will have: confidence using the English language, deep empathy for impoverished children and their communities, and a commitment to our Core Values . Previous international travel and volunteer experiences are a plus.

Program Cost

Volunteers in our Voluntourist Program pay a weekly fee of $200 USD. Accommodation and meals prepared by a local member of staff are included in this program.

Not included are your travel costs to and from our Bali Center, visa fees, immunizations, travel insurance, and any spending money you wish to bring with you.

Note: due to the nature of our work with children, should you application be accepted we do require a criminal background check which is less than 1 year old.
