Match volunteer drivers to cancer patients needs for transportation to medical appointments. Done on a computer via email and by phone. Flexible hours for when it can be done. The rides are in Benton, Franklin and sometimes other surrounding counties. We do have a auto match service that some drivers use. The Coordinator matches all un selected rides from the auto system and escalated rides. Can be taught the computer skills needed. Must have a reliable computer and internet. Takes just a few hours a week most of the time.

Description

The American Cancer Society office in Kennewick helps to achieve the organization's mission by working with community volunteers in the Columbia Basin as well as Eastern OR to raise much needed donations through fundraising events such as Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. These dollars go towards funding the Society's efforts to prevent cancer, save lives and diminish suffereing from cancer by funding groundbreaking research, providing education, advocacy and community services. There are many active services the American Cancer Society provides at the community level, such as Cancer Resource Centers set up in Cancer Treatment facilities and hospitals, lodging programs for cancer patients, and other programs such as Look Good...Feel Better for women going through cancer treatment.
