**Virtual** Recruiter at Media Nonprofit (VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY)

Seeking to staff six (6) volunteer positions

Want to make a difference at a dynamic non-profit that lets you develop professional skills and work from the comfort of your home?

The media nonprofit WhoWhatWhy is looking for gregarious, values-driven individuals to join our recruiting team. You will write ad copy and job descriptions, track and assess applications, and conduct phone interviews to gauge candidates’ relevant experience as well as their understanding of and dedication to our values.

WhoWhatWhy is a radically different news organization - for a public equally tired of irresponsible "fake news" and of the establishment media’s pack mentality and limited curiosity. We hunt for those narratives that somehow never get told, identifying underlying causes of political crises and structural problems that, if addressed, could result in a better world for all.

If you’re on board with our vision and have the skills and time to match, we invite you to join our pro-bono family and help us grow further by finding and recruiting other excellent applicants.

As a nonprofit that accepts no advertising (which allows us to be unbiased in our reporting), we staff up largely with enthusiastic, professional volunteers. As recruiters, we have a direct impact in helping this outstanding organization grow - and grow its impact.

To apply, send your resume and a cover letter to hr@whowhatwhy.org listing your position of interest in the subject line. Share why you are interested in volunteering with WhoWhatWhy and how you feel that you can add value - and assist in building an amazing and valuable enterprise for the common good.

Mission Statement

WhoWhatWhy is a nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization aiming to discover and share the truth about matters affecting us all. We launched with the idea that the public deserves courageous and thorough investigations into powerful institutions, entities and individuals that shape our world. We pride ourselves on having no sacred cows, and covering stories that no one else will touch. At WhoWhatWhy, we believe that quality information changes minds--and that when you change minds, you change everything.

Description

WhoWhatWhy embodies a form of investigative reporting that is rigorous, relentless, and scientific - we call it forensic journalism.

We take on controversial topics others will not touch and dig deep to uncover and name the institutions and persons shaping our world. Our organization is neither partisan nor ideological and only provides accounts based on extensive research and thorough sourcing.

In addition to producing rigorous investigative reporting, we seek to further the long-term survival and betterment of the news industry as a whole.
