HOW THIS ROLE IS TIED TO OUR MISSION
Second Harvest Food Bank relies on the generosity of individuals to fund its day-to-day operations and programs that aim to end hunger in Orange County. Donor research and robust donor information are essential to a successful stewardship program and will help us retain and cultivate donors. In this role, a volunteer will screen donors and assign them to staff or volunteers to thank and provide opportunities to get and/or stay involved with Second Harvest Food Bank. Additional revenue will allow us to expand our programs and enable us to reach the nearly 335,000 people in our community who may not know where their next meal will come from.

Mission Statement
Ensuring that all are well fed in Orange County.
Description
Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is providing food assistance and helping our community weather the COVID-19 variants. While the economy improves for many, there are nearly 350,000 individuals each month who continue to rely on Second Harvest for food. We must keep the momentum going to ensure all are well fed in Orange County. Above all, we are committed to nourishing everyone in our community who needs help.
Second Harvest distributes donated and purchased foods through a network of over 250 partner agencies throughout the county and every dollar donated to provides food for at least three meals. We are also a member of Feeding America, a national hunger relief organization. For more information about our work and how you can help visit FeedOC.org.
