Integrating Research Education in Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies. There are many conditions of mind and body that can be treated by animal-human interaction. At CSU, the EAAT TGEC program aspires to create a new home for equine-assisted activities and therapies; a place where individuals with physical, emotional and developmental challenges can heal, where the therapists can treat, where students can learn, and where scientists can research.
The Temple Grandin Equine Center will celebrate and elevate the role of the horse in society through the physical and emotional benefits of serving those in need.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
As the equine therapy program is in the process of temporarily moving their facility, the Project Helping group of volunteers will help with loading equipment and cleaning. Be prepared to get dirty for a great cause! The therapy program is a great educational and developmental resource for students and clients alike. As space is limited, make sure to register before participating in this awesome event!
