One-Hour Evening Service Project - Help Sort Donated food at Bountiful Food Pantry - Davis RSVP 55+

We need a 12-person crew of RSVP volunteers, age 55 or greater, to help sort and shelve donated food at the Bountiful Community Food Pantry. Some light lifting and the ability to bend and grasp is required for this project. This one-hour event will be held Thursday, December 7th from 6:00-7:00 pm. Please arrive by 5:45.
This event is limited to 12 volunteers only. Interested volunteers MUST register with RSVP as a participant prior to the event. Please call Viki at 801-525-5094 to sign up. Volunteer slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers who have not previously enrolled as RSVP members will be required to complete our One-Time Event RSVP Enrollment Form. This service opportunity is only for those age 55 or greater.

Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
