Codman Square NDC is seeking a volunteer with strong writing skills to write content for CSNDC’s website, which is in need of updating to reflect the innovative and exciting work we do in support of our low/moderate income community. See our current website at www.csndc.com.
The ideal candidate will work with various levels of CSNDC staff to garner update information for website content, and then write up and update that content for uploading to our website. The Content Writer will suggest the best use of content while ensuring content standards are met, style guidelines are followed and copy is grammatically accurate. After all content is updated, the Content Writer may work with our Web Developer on layout and design issues, though that is the primary role of the Web Developer. Content Writer can suggest the best means to keep the website up to date.
Most of our work happens during normal business hours, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, though CSNDC is willing to accommodate the volunteer if off work hours are required. We estimate that this project could take 3-6 weeks, depending on the approach of the volunteer. We are looking for someone who can commit the time needed to achieve a solid written update of the content on our website. Contact Gail Latimore at the email below for more information.

Description
The Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (CSNDC) is a community development corporation (CDC) that has worked in partnership with neighbors and neighborhood institutions to rebuild the Southern Dorchester community for the past 33 years.
Our line of work includes:
- the rehabilitation and construction of housing and commercial real estate development.
- business development opportunities.
- a computer learning center.
- financial literacy programs.
- foreclosure prevention counseling.
- youth development programs.
- engaging residents in community organizing.
