About

Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition (GWHFC) has been feeding the homeless and hungry a hot, fresh, and nutritious meal every day since 1987. As we expand our outreach, we are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit, schedule, encourage and mentor potential volunteers to help us reach as many in need as possible.

This is an important, fulfilling and FUN opportunity to interact with new people, give back to your community, and hone your management and organizational skills.

The Volunteer Coordinator assists within filling these positions:

-- Kitchen Prep volunteers (making the food)
-- Dinner Service volunteers (serving the food)
-- Volunteers Drivers (picking up donations)
-- Volunteer Groups from other Organizations (Universities, Religious Organizations, Business Groups, etc.)
-- Assistant Volunteer Coordinations (to help you in these tasks)

This is a volunteer position requires a commitment of 10-15 hours a week. While much of the work can be done via phone, text, or email, occasional trips to headquarters will be required.
