The Volunteer Services Instructor will train other volunteers to serve the Red Cross mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of disasters. Training is an essential component of strengthening our capabilities as volunteer managers. It is through the training we establish a strong volunteer engagement platform which contributes to growing volunteer participation and satisfaction.

Tasks Include:
- Instruct Volunteer Service courses in partnership with Doctrine and Training NHQ
- Responsible for 2-4 hours of facilitation per session
- Responsible to teach a minimum of 3 times a year
- Prepare materials for course participants and provide/respond to evaluation
-Preparation to teach: 1 hour meeting with co-facilitators to review day


Requirements:

- Ability to facilitate and lead assigned course sections, without the use of notes
- Classroom teaching and Volunteer Service experience preferred
- Experience facilitating soft skills courses
- Comfortable speaking in front of others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel to course location
- Available during business hours, weekends and/or evenings
