The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. Bernadette's House is looking to fill three (3) volunteer driver vacancies. Qualified candidates must be passionate about serving youth. Qualifications include being open-minded, fair, possessing pro-active leadership skills, exceptional communication skills, and being a team player with a vision for the future of a great organization. We are also looking for:
Valid driver’s license
Safe driving record
State required liability insurance
Working mobile phone
Mandatory background check performed
CPR Trained (preferred)
We are in need of drivers who will pick up youth from school, and transport them to Bernadette's House from the hours of 1pm-4pm M-F. The local schools are scattered throughout Laurel, Ft. Meade, and College Park. We are looking to acquire a donated van; in the mean time, we are humbly requesting you to drive your vehicle.
Serving as a transporter will reward you with an opportunity to serve our youth, while making a difference in your community.
