Bernadette's House is looking to fill three (3) volunteer driver vacancies. Qualified candidates must be passionate about serving youth. Qualifications include being open-minded, fair, possessing pro-active leadership skills, exceptional communication skills, and being a team player with a vision for the future of a great organization. We are also looking for:
- Valid driver’s license
- Safe driving record
- State required liability insurance
- Working mobile phone
- Mandatory background check performed
- CPR Trained (preferred)
We are in need of drivers who will pick up youth from school, and transport them to Bernadette's House from the hours of 1pm-4pm M-F. The local schools are scattered throughout Laurel, Ft. Meade, and College Park. We are looking to acquire a donated van; in the mean time, we are humbly requesting you to drive your vehicle.
Serving as a transporter will reward you with an opportunity to serve our youth, while making a difference in your community.

Description
Bernadette’s House, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) faith-based charitable nonprofit organization that was founded in October 2012. Our volunteer staff is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive home-like environment for preteen and teenage girls who live in and around the Laurel, Maryland area. Careful consideration is made to match each girl in our program with a mentor who is dedicated to developing a nurturing relationship that encourages the mentee to venture on a journey of self-discovery and "dare to dream" of a life full of possibilities. Our program is designed to foster the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills that will enable the girls to make life choices that will have a positive impact on their future.
