Grand Rapids Public Museum

Greeters instruct & direct school groups who visit the Museum during the week. Shifts take place during the school year and times vary from 8:30am to 11:00am. Volunteers usually work the same day each week throughout the school year.

Greeters can also work special events which usually occur on week-ends.

Greeters play a vital role in creating an enjoyable & educational visits for the Museum guests.

Greeters receive free parking and a discount in the Museum's Cafe and Curiosity Gift Shop. After 12 shifts, all volunteers receive a free Museum membership.

The Public Museum seeks volunteers to assist in fulfilling our mission as a educational institution to collect, preserve and present the natural, cultural and social history of the region.
