Become a Mentor

PURPOSE: Social support systems are crucial to our health and well-being. As a mentor at Caught Up, you will build impactful relationships in your community, while being a part of an organization that supports young people seeking reassurance and guidance.

Mentor Duties/Responsibilities:

• Participate in Circle Talks
• Lead by example
• Be relatable to youth and accepting of personal differences in lifestyle and values
• Be respectful of the mentee’s right to self-determination and independence

• Cultural competence
• Good listening skills
• Patience
• Sense of humor
• Commitment

• Positive
• Nonjudgmental
• Being active is a plus!
• Take initiative
