Are you passionate about helping teen girls break barriers and take their seat at the table? Step Up is currently seeking board members to serve on the Chicago Chapter board, beginning in the 2019 term.

Step Up Chapter boards are fundraising boards, working under the strategic direction of the Step Up National Board. As a board member, you will help us amplify our message, expand our network, and raise resources to help sustain and grow our programming. Our goal is to have served 8,000 teen girls by 2020--and you can be a part of that impact through board leadership!

Board candidates do not need to be experts in mentoring or fundraising--we train you! Successful board members are passionate about propelling teen girls to fulfill their potential and gain access to college and careers, excited to make connections for Step Up to corporate and individual supporters, and eager to engage in the programs you’re helping support. Board terms begin in January 2019, and initial terms are 2 years.

Remaining funds are raised through corporate and grant dollars, event sponsorships and tickets, and individual donations. Prior fundraising experience or expertise is not required; Step Up's experienced board members and staff train and assist board members at each step in fundraising.
