It is easy to be taken advantage of when you are a "stranger" in another country. Catholic Charities provides legal counsel and assistance for those that society often sees as the "stranger" in our midst.
We have been able to help so many immigrants and are now looking for a volunteer to help us get organized! We are looking for a volunteer to re organize our files from alphabetical to numerical order. The filing system is started and been established, but we would like volunteer to help us keep it going.
Volunteer should be detail-oriented and have the ability to work within our computer system (Excel) to organize the files. You do not need any specific Excel skills, just basic computer skills.

Description
Catholic Charities mission to "provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same" has been the core of our work since 1920. We measurably improve the lives of the poor in our communities and empower them to reach their full potential. When we accomplish this, lives are transformed and the benefits to the community can be exponential starting by improving the quality of life one person at a time.
With an outpouring of support from the community, we are able to help the poorest among us. We help people of all faiths, ages and cultures improve their ability to be self-sufficient, raise a family in more stable and healthy homes, escape violence, cope with emotional and behavioral challenges, and overcome barriers to a better life.Our Programs and Services:
