Health Imperatives is seeking a part-time volunteer or an undergraduate intern for our Blue Hills Healthy Families program located in Weymouth, MA. This volunteer would be responsible for administrative tasks, such as filing, researching and compiling materials for craft projects and other creative ideas for home visitors to use during home visits, making copies of resources, and entering data into various databases. This person should be comfortable with computers and programs such as Microsoft Office, and would ideally be available for 4-8 hours/week for at least 1 year. This is a great opportunity for a student or individual interestes in the fields of early intervention, social work, human services, or a related field.

Healthy Families is a home-based family support and coaching program that supports young, first-time parents and helps them create stable, nurturing environments for their children. Home visitors teach parents about proper baby care, promote nurturing and attachment, practice effective parenting skills, and ensure parents have a solid understanding of healthy child development. Our home visitors encourage and counsel parents on achieving their personal goals such as going back to school or securing employment. Health Imperatives is a non-profit community based agency that provides vital health and human services to nearly 30,000 families and individuals each year from communities stretching from Quincy to Nantucket.
