Looking for thoughtful, committed volunteers with big hearts to help us deliver our education classes to the many people who call and need help. You'll work closely with the Education Chair to schedule classes, coordinate with teachers and students, and ensure needed supplies are in place for successful classes. This role is critical to our organization's success. Your ability to efficiently organize will help us touch so many people who want to take our hugely popular Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, and Basics education courses. Mission Statement

NAMI SFV aims to build a close-knit community to support, advocate for, and educate anyone affected by mental illness.

Description

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

Started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979, NAMI has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, NAMI is an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI relies on gifts and contributions to support its important work.
