VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - We are looking for individuals who can give us a few hours a month by contacting local schools and churches to identify someone in the organization interested in engaging their students/members in opportunities with the American Cancer Society.
Why?
Cancer touches the lives of million people each year, even impacting our schools and churches. Parents, Teachers, Students, Pastors, Priests. It's likely that we all know someone who has faced or is currently facing cancer.
Fortunately, there is hope. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world's largest fundraising event to fight cancer in every community, including schools and churches across the nation. A Relay For Life event can provide your organization with the opportunity to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to save lives.
In St Louis, the Relay For Life event is a Celebration of HOPE!
- Provides youth and adults with great team-building experience and creates a friendly competition. It brings together the community for a common cause that touches everyone.
- Provides hope when someone is impacted by the disease, and rallies people to take action and fight back for those facing the disease.
- Provides great leadership opportunities for those involved.
