About Real Men Wear Pink Real Men Wear Pink campaigns allow business and community leaders the opportunity to support the American Cancer Society’s work to save lives from breast cancer while raising funds through friendly competition. Candidates also commit to raising awareness of the cause by wearing pink throughout October. Candidates compete to be named the top fundraiser! Core Requirements Individuals are passionate leaders from Missouri's business and philanthropic community that serve to shape the success of the campaign. Looking for volunteers throughout the state of Missouri. Primary focus will be to drive revenue through the procurement of Real Men Wear Pink candidates throughout the state of Missouri to the Real Men Wear Pink of Missouri campaign. Road To Recovery is an American Cancer Society program designed to help improve the quality of life and reduce barriers to care for cancer patients undergoing active treatment by transporting them to and from cancer-related treatment appointments. The Road To Recovery Volunteer driver can help provide people with transportation to and from their cancer-related treatment appointments. Drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to help ensure that people with cancer get the treatments they need. Volunteer drivers are also there to show support and provide information and resource referrals coordinated through the American Cancer Society. Responsibilities include: Follows program guidelines and maintains required volunteer eligibility requirements. Provides ride(s) as agreed upon. Highly recommended completed COVID-19 vaccination series Completes all necessary transportation documentation information. Reports all changes with contact information, availability, insurance coverage and driving eligibility to the Society in a timely manner. Reports traffic accidents and violations to the Society within 24 hours of occurrence. Abides by the Society’s privacy and confidentiality policies. Internet access. Volunteer Driver Qualifications: Drivers must be between the ages of 18 and 84 Have a good driving record Have a current, valid driver’s license Access to a safe and reliable vehicle Proof of adequate automobile insurance Complete an American Cancer Society training course/background check Availability Monday through Saturday during the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. If cancer survivor, must be one year post-treatment.

Every day cancer patients in your area miss potentially life-saving cancer treatment appointments, simply because they couldn’t get there. In our Road To Recovery program, volunteers use their own vehicles to drive cancer patients to and from their appointments. This rewarding experience allows you to provide meaningful support in your community on a flexible schedule that works for you. You’ll meet incredible people and provide encouragement to cancer patients when they need it the most. Volunteer drivers can customize their own schedules and mileage preferences. Opportunities to volunteer are posted on our ride matching website and you only select the rides that works best for you! There are no minimum hours or ride requirements to join. We are leading research and treatment advancements everyday... but they can’t help the person who misses their appointment.
