Volunteer Purpose and Impact

This December, Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest is hosting a Winter Wonderland to celebrate the holidays with community members and kids in foster care. LSS-SW is seeking volunteers to help set up the event space the day before and clean up after the event. Help LSS-SW create an unforgettable Winter Wonderland.

Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
  • Put up holiday decorations
  • Move and arrange tables and/or other furniture
  • Ensure each booth and/or table have all necessary materials
  • Create decorations or props if desired
  • Take down decorations and tables
  • Collect trash
  • Ensure the space is clean
Qualifications
  • Able bodied - Volunteer may be asked to stand, lift, or stoop for long periods of time
Working Conditions

The volunteer will work in the event space for set up and clean up.

Location and Timeframe

Winter Wonderland will take place December 16, 2017. Tentative event times are 10:30am - 2:30pm. Volunteer shifts are flexible. Volunteer may stay for only set up, only clean up, or both. Location and times coming soon!
