Connecticut's Kid Governor is an award-winning, statewide civics program created by the Connecticut Public Affairs Network (CPAN). It teaches 5th graders about state government, voting and elections, and civic engagement through a real election of a Kid Governor each fall. The winning Kid Governor serves a one-year term of leadership and advocacy, sharing his or her platform with students and adults across Connecticut.

Volunteers are needed for periodic, short-term as well as long-term opportunities in the areas of research, planning and hands-on projects. Many opportunities will take place at Connecticut's Old State House in Hartford.
