Development Associate Job Description
Volunteer as a temporary Development Associate for the Curry Senior Center Development Team! Curry Senior Center is a multi-service agency that provides services that support independent living to low-income and homeless seniors living in San Francisco’s Tenderloin and South of Market neighborhoods.
The Development Associate will maintain the donor database for the organization, which includes account creation, donation and volunteer data entry, data cleanup and report generation. The Development Associate will also assist with acknowledgment letter processing, promotional mailings and filing, as well as additional duties as needed.
You will interact with Curry Senior Center staff, volunteers and donors, becoming a part of the community that proudly supports seniors in the Tenderloin and SOMA.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience using donor or CRM databases.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- High level attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to adhere to strict confidentially and privacy laws.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and autonomously.
We offer flexible work hours within the business week-Monday through Friday, 9-5. This is a part-time/20 hours per week opportunity.

Description
Today, at Curry Senior Center we serve 2,600 seniors within a central city area stretching from Potrero Hill to lower Nob Hill and from the San Francisco Bay to Van Ness Avenue. We provide primary care at our medical clinic and through home visits to clients, case management for those who want it, substance abuse counseling, social and educational opportunities, and breakfast and lunch daily for seniors. In late 2003, we opened a new facility for our social programs and permanent housing for 13 formerly homeless seniors. Throughout our history, Dr. Curry's mission statement has been our driving force.
