The Retired Senior Volunteer Office Assistant at Southern Rhode Island Volunteers’ Wakefield Office will act as a liaison for seniors, 55 and over, who are interested in joining the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Washington County.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Call senior volunteers to update their volunteer files, including contact information, volunteer interests and to see if/where they are volunteering
  • Make files inactive for individuals who are no longer volunteering and do not wish to volunteer
  • Assist with outreach support to gain new volunteers, including scheduling walk-in times for seniors interested in volunteering
  • Registering new RSVP volunteers during those walk-in hours
  • Assist with online and print marketing to recruit new senior volunteers
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Volunteer must be willing to use their own personal cell phone to call to update volunteer files, Ability to Work Independently, Reliable, Interpersonal Skills

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Washington County Rhode Island

Additional Notes A training and orientation will be provided for all volunteers.
