This volunteer role is crucial in assisting refugees to be able to pay for their basic needs, as well as in maintaining comfort within their homes. Volunteer(s) will assist refugees in filling out forms and applying for Lower Income Assistance through TEP. Volunteer(s) will educate refugees about energy efficiency and help them to maintain an affordable electric bill. Volunteer(s) may also assist with applications for low income housing.
Volunteer(s) should be fluent in English and able to correctly fill out a form, as well as be comfortable using a computer. Volunteer(s) should have some experience working cross-culturally and be comfortable communicating with people who have limited English.
