Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging- This volunteer position assists Medicare beneficiaries of all ages and their caregivers in understanding their benefits. Volunteers provide one-to one counseling to clients at community sites or in their homes.
Training to become a certified Health Insurance Counselor and orientation provided. One year commitment and a minimum of 4 hours per month is needed.
Submit documentation of client work, volunteer timesheets and other paperwork in a timely manner.

Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits.
