Best Friends is currently caring for nearly 400 dogs and almost 75 cats displaced by Hurricane Harvey at our Pet Reunion Pavilion located at NRG Arena.

We are in need of vet support through early November and are seeking veterinarians who can commit to volunteering for a minimum of 3 days. To meet the needs of the animals in our care, we need 2-3 vets on hand from 8am-6pm daily. Experience in shelter medicine is a plus.

Vets do not need to live in Texas to be considered for this opportunity. Out of state vets can apply for a temporary, emergency license through the Texas Board of Veterinary Medicine.
