We work with Dresden Elementary School 3rd grade students who are very far behind in reading, writing and basic math. The kids come from families that speak only Spanish in the home, and their parents struggle to help them with school work because of the language barrier. Once behind, it is really difficult for these students to make up ground. 3rd grade is a critical year for kids; they have to be able to read comfortably by this point in order to progress further in school. Our program helps them to catch up on these fundamental skills.

We do 1:1 tutoring on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:40-4:15. We cover reading, writing and early math. No experience is necessary, and you don't need to speak Spanish. The students are eager to learn, and it's incredibly fulfilling to see the progress they can make with a little help. Please consider donating some of your time - you can make a big difference in their lives and their futures!
