I had the pleasure of attending a tutoring help session at Dresden Elementary School and it was an amazing experience! The children were so kind, well behaved and eager to learn and spend time with their tutors. The session was extremely organized and well thought out and communication with Ms. Margaret, the leader of the program, exceeded expectations. What I liked most about the program is that each student has an individual tutor. It was nice to see so many people involved and helping. Unfortunately I live almost an hour away from the school and am not able to continue being of help to the program and children. However I recommend this amazing opportunity to anyone interested in having a meaningful impact on a child's life a growth through teaching and mentorship. Thank you for the opportunity Dresden!

I highly recommend The One on One Tutoring program at Dresden Elementary School for anyone looking for a volunteer opportunity. The K-3 students are just delightful - very engaged and happy to have this support. This program runs smoothly. The program leaders are very dedicated, organized, flexible and accommodating. They have made it so easy for me to fit volunteering into my busy schedule. It feels really good to know I am having an impact in a young student's life.

I love volunteering as a Homework Help and Reading Mentor at Dresden Elementary School. I started last February after finding them on VolunteerMatch. I found tutoring so rewarding that I have volunteered again for the 2017-2018 school year. My experience with the program has been completely positive! The child I mentor is so sweet, enthusiastic and eager to learn that working with him is a joy. The other mentors are friendly and help/support one another. It is a small informal group so you really do get to know everyone. Margaret, the leader of the group, could not be more friendly and helpful. And, the use of my time is so effective--my entire commitment to the group is the time I spend tutoring. I was amazed at how quickly the children learn in one to one tutoring, I do feel I am changing his life! I hope you'll decide to join us, there are so many children who need your help!
