ORGANIZATION: Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Inc

Join us as we pick up excess lunches from a school in NoMad! These individual lunches and trays of food will be delivered to the nearby BRC, located at 127 W 25th St. This food rescue event will last 30 minutes.

The average weight of this pick up is 30-40 pounds, so grab some friends and take a trip!!

Description

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
