The Mentorship Program is a high-demand need and brand of YNPNdc. Many nonprofit professionals understand the value and need for sound mentorship. The demand for this program is high, which means the need for member-volunteers is high. This program matches mentees with experienced mentors to help navigate the sector. Requires passion, commitment, and dedication to ensuring others reach their highest potential. Anticipated tasks include:
- Monitoring Mentorship email account and forwarding requests to the appropriate team member
- Conducting an intake assessment with interested mentors and mentees
- Matching mentors and mentees
- Providing guidance and conflict resolution to mentors/mentees as needed
- Conducting satisfaction surveys
- Scheduling/Chairing regular conference calls with both Mentorship Team members and mentors/mentees to monitor progress and address challenges

YNPNdc is an independent, volunteer-led organization, affiliated with the National Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN), which includes chapters in more than 40 cities. We bring young professionals together through networking, professional development events, providing mentoring opportunities, and convene the sector. We envision a community of inspired professionals equipped to lead a diverse and evolving nonprofit sector in Greater Washington and beyond. YNPNdc members are inspired professionals who are interested in strengthening the greater Washington nonprofit sector through networking, professional development, and advocacy.
