When are we not planting? Summer of course...but this Winter we are continuing our efforts to help restore natural green areas, this time in Salem!
Join Friends of Trees, the City of Salem, and the Polk County Soil & Water Conservation District in planting native trees and shrubs throughout the recently upgraded Eola Ridge Park! Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffe e, as well as gloves, tools and tree planting guidance.
Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun! Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people - copy and past this link http://www.friendsoftrees.org/volunteering/group-registration to do so. RSVPs are not required for individuals or groups of 4 or fewer -- you can simply show up!

Friends of Trees is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization which organizes tree planting and care events in neighborhoods, natural areas and on school grounds in partnership with the community, government and businesses.
Since Friends of Trees was founded in 1989, our volunteers have planted more than 750,000 trees and native plants!
