ChickTech was founded in 2012 to engage women of all ages in the technology industry while working to create a better technology culture for all. We build communities, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in a rapidly growing industry. ChickTech has made a direct impact on tens of thousands of participants, including girls, women, and men.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to build and execute a social media strategy and increase engagement with our followers. This is a great opportunity for recent grads and career changers looking to gain experience in social media management.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and executing a social media strategy
- Curating, generating, and sharing content that allows us to provide meaningful content to our audience
- Managing social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
- Moderating all user-generated content
Our ideal social media manager will have some or all of the below:
- Highly motivated and creative individual who is passionate about our mission
- Proven experience in social media management
- Good understanding of major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Meetup, Snapchat, etc.)
- Demonstrable social analytics tools knowledge
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Basic graphic design and editing skills (photo, text)
- Ability to work collaboratively

Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
