POSITION: Part-time or seasonal caretaker to clean equipment and living spaces of horses, and maintain facility, grounds and/or working areas at non-profit equine-assisted activities and therapies center serving people with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS: Promote and support values and mission. High school diploma or equivalent, current drivers license with no prior disqualifying criminal offenses. Self-motivated, compassion towards horses/animals in your care, attend training/s, experience working with/around horses a plus. Workers must be detail oriented and adhere to task schedule. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and have valid driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean equipment and the living spaces of horses, including mucking stalls and picking pastures. Keeping facility, grounds and barn area organized, professional and clean. May include weed control and grass cutting. Maintain records on duties, activities, supplies and changes in equine behavior. Monitor feeding, care and barn supplies for re-stock; May assist with grain, hay and bedding orders. Horses need care on a regular schedule; Responsibilities may often fall on weekends, evenings, early morning and holidays. Caretaker may be on call for weather/emergencies.
