This position is a volunteer position, with the opportunity of compensation.
The Executive Director is the key management leader of Friends in the City Foundation. The ED is responsible for over seeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Friends in the City Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide youth mentoring and educational resources that impact urban communities. We will accomplish our mission through the vision of encouraging a growth mindset, enhancing our outreach, empowering the youth, embracing diversity and expanding our network.
Description
Mentoring Program
Our Beauty Boot Camp (BBC) Program, serves as a mentoring and support program that provides Social snd Emotional skills to young ladies between the ages of 11 and 18. BBC offers confidential, compassionate, and educational group support.
Scholarship/Grant Program
We offer two scholarships to youth and young adults across the city.
Opportunity Scholarship: for gradating high school students.
Albert G. Gilbert, Jr. Grant: anyone that was formerly incarcerated can take advantage of this grant for school or a business.
New School Venture
We are in preparation of designing Chicago's first STEM Elementary Charter School.
