Mission Statement

To inspire life-long learning, empower people, and strengthen the global community.

Description

Our Founder/ Executive Director Darius Nix has 14 years of educating and developing young people from the early childhood age to young adults. Darius passion for development of our global community inspired him to lead an organization that pledge to EMPOWER, EMBRACE and ENHANCE that community through charitable works and gifts.

We first tackled our mission by providing college scholarships and assistance annually to individuals with financial constraints. We also partner/support schools by providing them with a 10-week program that focuses on Academic Tenacity: Mindsets and Skills that Promote Long-Term Learning. In our pursuit of educational reform, something essential has been missing: the psychology of the student. Psychological factors -often called motivational or non-cognitive factors - can matter even more than cognitive factors for students’ academic performance. These may include students’ beliefs about themselves, their feelings about school, or their habits of self-control.

Our organizational vision is to be a thought partner within high need communities, and provide programming to empower youth, enhance the quality of education and embrace the richness of the communities that we serve. We started our service at Emmett Till Elementary School on the Southside of Chicago, with overwhelming results. We are now looking to expand throughout the city.
