Front Desk Customer Experience Specialist


The front desk customer experience specialist is responsible for providing administrative support for the adoption team. This important role consists of answering phones, greeting guests, answering questions, and escorting customers to the desired location. As a front desk customer experience specialist, you will help provide much-needed administrative support Friday - Saturday. We have morning shifts and afternoon shifts available that will allow the adoption team to provide an excellent experience for both the adopters and the pets. If you love working with customers, enjoy answering questions, and enjoy providing the best experience, then this is the role for you!

Roles and responsibilities:

· Answer phone calls/guide people to the applications online.

· Direct flow of traffic/get the proper staff that is needed to help that individual.

· Keep the reception area clean and help take out trash/recycling.

· Keep stock of copy paper/ink and report if it gets low.

· Assist with letting individuals know where to place donations and/or hand out donation receipts.

· Assist individuals with basic questions about our programs or shelter in general.

What we are looking for:

· Knowledge of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue programs.

· Excellent customer service that includes providing clear directions and answering questions.

· Experience answering phone calls, greeting callers, answering questions, and resolving issues.

· Has patience and empathy for overwhelmed individuals visiting Lost Our Home.

· Can help lift donations 20lbs and higher if needed.

· Weekly commitment

· 18 years and older.

Mission Statement

The mission of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is to ensure that all pets have loving homes when families face major life challenges. We provide compassionate options when Realtors and the community find an abandoned pet.


Lost Our Home Pet Foundation was formed by a group of realty professionals who saw a need to help pets abandoned or displaced by the current housing crisis. We have several programs we offer to help pets that have been affected by the economy. First and foremost we rescue pets that have been abandoned in foreclosed homes. We also offer options for families in crisis to be able to surrender their pet for adoption and not bring them to a shelter or take advantage of our temporary foster program. The Temporary Care Program gives families in crisis a safe place to leave their pets while they transition to a new living environment where they can re-claim their pets again. Our Furry Friends Foodbank is for families who qualify to receive help with pet food and pet supplies in a crisis. This allows them to keep their furry family members with them, and keeps that family's pets out of the shelter/rehoming system.
