Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer experience? Have you ever considered becoming a hospice volunteer?
Attend Allay's Compassionate Companion Hospice Volunteer Training session on Saturday, January 8th at our Brookfield office to find out if this opportunity is a good fit for you.
Our hospice volunteers profoundly affect the quality of our patients' lives; they bring comfort to patients and relief to their caregivers by offering a supportive presence, a listening ear, and a helping hand. These volunteers give the greatest gift of all - themselves!
Allay's training will help prepare you to work side-by-side with the hospice team to provide compassionate care and support when it is needed the most. This session includes a review of the hospice philosophy, the role of the volunteer and other staff members, as well as learning helpful skills for meaningful visits with hospice patients and their families.
This in-person training is limited to 6 attendees to maintain appropriate social distancing. Additional training sessions will be added as needed.

Mission Statement
Allay Hospice consistently strives to provide the best, most compassionate care that can be experienced through the last phase of life's journey. Our goal is to ensure that those with a life-limiting illness live each day to the fullest in comfort and dignity. At Allay, we are committed to taking care of our patients and families as we would our own.
Description
Hospice is not a place, but a special way of caring that promotes one's quality of life and death with dignity. When medicine cannot provide a cure, Allay Hospice offers patients and their families the comfort, compassion and assistance necessary to maintain the best possible quality of life.
Allay is a locally owned hospice with offices in Brookfield, Waterford, Jackson, & Sheboygan to serve all communities of Southeastern Wisconsin.
*Our volunteers work side by side with Allay's experienced hospice team in providing comfort and care when it is needed most. For all of our volunteer opportunities, the amount of time you give is flexible and assignments are based on your availability and location; we do our best to assign volunteers within or near their own community.
